Welcome to YMSL Rancho Chapter!

To assist, serve and support those that are in need in our community

Young Men's Service League is a non-profit organization that initiates and encourages young men and their mothers to pursue philanthropic involvement in their community and provides an opportunity to enhance mother/son relationships.

YMSL Rancho Chapter

Launched in April 2015, YMSL Rancho is the 5th YMSL chapter in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Our members are from the communities of Los Altos, Cupertino, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, and the surrounding areas.

Three Pillars of YMSL

Education: The boys have regular meetings, each with a specific theme and involve people in the community to serve as speakers. The themes include practical life skills, social skills, civic responsibility, and philanthropy. A strong emphasis is placed on respect and responsibility. Here is a detailed summary of the four-year plan for boys meetings that all YMSL chapters follow.

Leadership: Each member is required to hold a position every year, for example, president, vice president, secretary, life skills, leadership, writer or photographer. From these experiences, they learn valuable leadership lessons about public speaking, organization, persuasive oral and written communication, decision-making, planning and time management.

Philanthropy: At the heart of YMSL is getting out in the community to do meaningful work – often meeting and helping people in the community who are less fortunate or physically not as capable. YMSL boys strengthen their own personal relationships by becoming aware of new needs and issues within the community. They also strengthen their bonds with fellow YMSL members as they collaborate and work together.

YMSL Rancho in Action!

Through our partnership with numerous philanthropies in the Silicon Valley area, our YMSL Rancho Chapter members have delivered over 12,000 hours of service for our community since our founding in 2015. We are involved in services covering underprivileged families and children, the environment, physically and mentally challenged youth, providing food and meals for the needy, and more.
